Developed Department of Defense industrial base modernization plan for computer-aided manufacture of electronics using leading experts and executives from 16 major defense suppliers.
Modernized facilities for high-volume high-mix production of small arms. Identified critical tolerances and 17 parts crucial to assembly's function. Instituted quantitative dimensional measurement and plant-wide SPC program. Introduced flexible machining centers.
